Recently, Shanghai Customs released the latest foreign trade statistics, showing that in the first four months of 2026, the import and export scale of the Yangtze River Delta region reached a new historical high. The resilience of regional foreign trade and the core competitiveness of industries continue to be highlighted, and the key role of the national foreign trade "ballast stone" continues to be played. The data confirms the strong momentum of China's high-end manufacturing exports and the continuous optimization of the foreign trade market structure, which also brings new development opportunities for the cross-border logistics service industry of high-end industrial products.

Statistics show that in the first four months of this year, the total import and export value of foreign trade in the Yangtze River Delta region reached 6.14 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.9%, accounting for 37.8% of the country's total import and export value. Among them, the export performance is particularly outstanding, with a regional export total of 3.83 trillion yuan, accounting for 41% of the national export total. The main export products continue to upgrade towards high-tech and high value-added categories.

In the core export categories, the export scale of mechanical and electrical products in the Yangtze River Delta region reached 2.43 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.8%. The export growth rate of high-end equipment products such as lithium batteries, liquefied natural gas ships, CNC machine tools, and industrial robots is leading, with a related category export value of 229.76 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.5%, and has become the core business card of high-end foreign trade in the Yangtze River Delta. At the same time, the supply and demand in the regional import market are strong, with a total import value of 2.31 trillion yuan in the first four months, a year-on-year increase of 20.1%. The import of integrated circuits, high-end aircraft components, metal ore and other products has increased significantly, fully demonstrating the strong momentum of regional manufacturing upgrading and high-quality industrial development.

In terms of foreign trade market layout, the internationalization and diversified layout of the Yangtze River Delta continues to deepen.
