On July 1, 2026, two mandatory national standards in the field of electric vehicles - "Safety Requirements for Electric Vehicles" and "Safety Requirements for Power Batteries for Electric Vehicles" - were officially implemented. As the most stringent safety standard in the history of new energy vehicles in China, the new regulations comprehensively upgrade the safety threshold from multiple core dimensions such as vehicle high-voltage protection, power battery thermal safety, and bottom impact resistance, completely rewriting the industry's safety standard system. This standard upgrade not only strengthens the safety bottom line of domestic new energy vehicle consumption, but also promotes the deep integration of domestic new energy vehicles and power batteries with international standards, opening up a new channel for the industry's overseas development.

Compared to the old version of the standard, the new national standard has achieved a fundamental upgrade from "passive risk avoidance" to "active protection", targeting the high-frequency safety pain points of new energy vehicles. In terms of vehicle safety, the new regulations for the first time explicitly include "one click physical power-off" as a mandatory requirement, abandoning the unstable hidden danger of traditional software power-off, and supporting the quick disconnection of the vehicle's high-voltage circuit through a single touch or long press action, avoiding the risk of high-voltage electric shock after accidents from the source, greatly improving the safety of vehicle accident rescue and driver and passenger safety avoidance.
The safety upgrade of power batteries is the core highlight of this new regulation. The old version of the standard only required an alarm signal to be issued 5 minutes before the battery thermal runaway, reserving time for personnel to escape; The new national standard has been directly upgraded to a hard standard of no fire, no explosion, and harmless smoke from battery packs after thermal runaway of battery cells, completely solving the problem of electric car self ignition and explosion that users are most concerned about. At the same time, the new regulations have established a comprehensive testing system, including 7 battery cell tests and 17 battery pack system tests, covering various risk scenarios such as high temperature, short circuit, overcharging and overdischarging, and external fire.
It is worth noting that the new regulations have added special tests for battery bottom collision and scraping, filling the gap in international standards. In response to common scenarios such as bottoming, chassis scraping, and bottom impact that can easily cause battery damage and fire during vehicle operation, exclusive protection standards have been developed to comprehensively enhance the battery bottom protection capability. Industry experts have stated that the new national standard has established a three-level active safety system for battery cells, thermal management, and vehicle protection, significantly reducing the probability of safety accidents in new energy vehicles and forcing technological iteration and quality upgrades throughout the entire industry chain.
From the perspective of the industry landscape, the new national standard is an accelerator for the high-quality development of the industry. On the one hand, high standards accelerate the benign reshuffle of the industry, eliminate outdated production capacity, and promote the transformation of the new energy vehicle and power battery industries towards intensification and high-end; On the other hand, the new regulations fully incorporate the core of international mainstream standards, achieve mutual recognition and exchange of domestic and international safety norms, significantly reduce the overseas market access barriers for domestic new energy vehicles and power batteries, and make the quality advantages of domestic new energy products the core competitiveness of globalization. At present, mainstream domestic car companies have completed model technology upgrades ahead of schedule, with a smooth transition between new and old products in the market and a well-organized development of the industry.
The upgrading of national standards brings about an upgrade in product quality, while also placing higher demands on the compliance of logistics for the export of new energy vehicles and power batteries.
We have been deeply involved in the export and transportation of new energy hazardous materials for many years. Our company accurately follows the iteration of the new national standard policy and focuses on one-stop export logistics services for battery products. By relying on deep control of dual safety standards at home and abroad, we can provide customers with a complete set of compliant logistics solutions: professional review of MSDS, dangerous goods certificate, transportation appraisal report and other export materials, strictly matching the safety qualifications of new national standard products; Provide full chain services including dangerous goods booking, compliance supervision, maritime declaration, special trailer, full container load consolidation, etc; Familiar with the import regulations of dangerous goods in various ports around the world, and proactively avoid customs clearance risks.
The new national standard has opened a new era for the quality of the new energy industry to go global, and compliance and high quality will become the core labels for domestic new energy to go global. Our company will continue to rely on policy dividends, with professional, compliant, and stable dangerous goods logistics capabilities, to assist major car companies and battery manufacturers in seizing global market opportunities, and safeguard the safe and efficient launch of every domestically produced new energy product.
